Education Fair at KAB was a true festival for all the participants, the students, parents and representatives from the various colleges as well. 26th May 2008 started with gaiety and pomp. Amidst the blooming marigold and blaring shehanai the venue (Institute of Engineers, Khairatabad) wore the look of a traditional Indian family function. True, the entire KAB staff was on toes right from the beginning to the end! Three days grandeur (26th to 28th May) was all about career guidance, counseling and many education related queries.
Inaugural function was graced by prominent personalities in the field of education and IT alike. We had Mr.Prabhakar Reddy from ORTUS, Sri PVRK Prasad from TTD and
Mr. D.N. Reddy Convener, ICET-2008.
The KAB Educational Consultants, right from the inception,has given paramount importance to providing quality career guidance to the young school leavers of Andhra Pradesh. It has recognized that a nation’s growth depends very much on her youth contributing effectively towards the economy. The need to recognize an individual’s potential and tapping it is of supreme importance in moulding his/her future towards success and in so doing, gives an edge to the nation’s pool of talents.
About the fair:
Accentuating the theme of helping students to “build their future, “ KAB educational consultants organizes educational fairs every year, since the last five years in all the major cities in Andhra Pradesh.
Now it is considered as one of the premier event during admissions into different Engineering, Medical and pharmacy colleges. More then 50,000 students and parents attended this ground breaking event. During this Fair students / parents had a chance to meet local educators, Government officials and representative of different organizations for clearing their doubts about colleges, courses and admission procedures.
A Timely and Relevant Event :
The event was timed within two days after the declaration of EAMCET results, the objective being to provide counseling assistance to the students who had completed their intermediate,appeared for EAMCET and wanted to know about different professional colleges and courses. In this brief session they had a chance to pose questions about their career, courses and colleges to eminent people who attended the fair which will be the first step for their bright future.
Fair highlights :
The fair witnessed presence of well known institutions and private organization. Over 100 colleges had set up stalls in various streams of Engineering, Medical and Pharmceutical courses.

Free education advice and career guidance were provided to students based on the EAMCET Rank and also the probability of getting a seat in the particular college and course as per the student’s choice.
The participant institutions grabbed the opportunity to have direct access with the aspiring students and their parents. The students and parents interacted with the institutions and their management to get their doubts clarified about the courses, facilities, fee structure etc.
Awareness Lectures, Extensive Seminar Programs, Open Forum Sessions were organized to educate, motivate the students and also clear their doubts about the future prospects for different courses.
Video Conferencing and Power Point presentations by the participating Organizations were further value additions to the Fair.
A prominent highlight of the event was the participation by the apex bank, viz. State Bank of India. The students and parents thronged the stall of the Bank eagerly, vying with one another to know the procedure for availaing student loans.
Inauguration :
The Fair was inaugurated by lightning the lamp by ICET convener, Prof. D.N.Reddy, retired IAS Officer, Mr.PVRK. Prasad, Ex Minister, Jalagam Prasad Rao and Mr Ram Mohan Reddy, Chairman of TRR Group of Institutions.
Distinguished Speakers on the Dais:
Speaking on the occasion Shri Jalagam Prasad Rao was of the opinion that this type of counseling should not only be restricted for EAMCET and ICET alone but should be extended to all kinds of courses.
Convener of ICET Mr D.N. Reddy felt that prospects are now extremely bright for students with good rank as there are many new upcoming colleges now. He also reiterated the importance of such fairs that gives students a clear idea of kinds of courses to be pursued for a bright future.
He also advised the parents not to dump their interests on their children but allow them to pursue courses of their choice which will mould them in to productive citizens.
Mr. P.V.R.K. Prasad expressed that students should choose the course according to their interest and capabilities.
Director of KAB Educational Consultants, Mr. K. Venkatesh said that the organization has been offering excellent support services to the students for the last 10 years who aspire to join in engineering, medical and other professional courses. Amidst thunderous appreciation, he announced that kAB would also provide free counseling for the students based on their ranks.
