For admission to: Professional courses AIPMT. The amount of the scholarship is Rs 1000 per month. The duration is for four years (to be renewed, subject to eligibility). Who can apply? An Indian national, rank in the merit list of AIPMT 2009 conducted by CBSE, and pursuing professional course in medicine in any central university/ institution controlled or aided by central/ state government. 10 per cent of the total scholarships will be awarded to those who are otherwise eligible and are the only girl child in the family. CBSE SINGLE GIRL CHILD MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
For: Udergraduate studies. The value of the scholarship is Rs 500 per month and for three years duration (renewal subject to eligibility). Who can apply? Indian national, a single girl child and the only child of her parents, student of CBSE board in class 12 and scored 60 per cent or more in class 12, 2009 exams conducted by the CBSE and currently pursuing undergraduate course (non-medical/ non-engineering). CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIP (CSSS)-2009
For: College and university students 2009 with the objective to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families to meet dayto-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. The scholarships will be given at Rs 1000 per month at graduation level for first three years of college and university courses and Rs 2000 per month at postgraduate level. Students pursuing professional courses would get Rs 2000 per month in the fourth and fifth year. The scholarships would be paid for 10 months in an academic year. The scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of the results of All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE), (class 12) 2009.
Who can apply? Indian national; should have passed in All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) 2009 conducted by CBSE and secured a minimum of 80 per cent and pursuing regular course (not correspondence or distance mode) from recognised educational institutions. Students should not be availing any other scholarship scheme and income of parents from all sources should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh per annum and should not belong to creamy layer as defined from time to time.

For applicants who have done class 12 from CBSE board in year 2009, the duly filled in proforma to be sent in an envelope super scribing ‘Application for CSSS-2009’ to the Deputy Secretary (A&V), CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2 Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi - 110 092. For applicants who have completed class 12 from other boards (like ICSE, UP, Uttaranchal, Karnataka, Haryana board, etc) are requested to their forms to his/ her state board only.
