College days are the most memorable days for all of us. Here is one such incident, which makes me nostalgic and evokes all the past memories with a bang just wanted to share this incident which happened during our college tour.
Once I went to Horsley Hills with all my classmates, as a part of our environmental tour. We stayed there for two days and one night. As we were away from parents and home for a night, we were really excited and wanted to explore the ‘night world’. We were accommodated in cottages, four members in each. I was with three of my other friends in a cottage that was two cottages away from that of our lecturer’s.When it was around 9 o’clock, our lecturers came to each room to instruct that no one was allowed to go out at night. We were a little tensed as they mentioned it particularly, but dint want to miss the chance. So as soon as our lecturer was into his room, or we thought so, i along with three of my friends came out of our cottage just to take a stroll.
We started walking and as we reached the third cottage from ours, realized that our lecturer’s door was open and also spotted him in the corridor. So shocked we started running in the opposite direction as that of our room. After running a few yards, we realized what a foolish mistake we did and could not stop laughing. Then we thought of going further deep into the hills as we had already passed our ‘lecturer hurdle’.Just then, one of us reminded that ghosts travel in hilly areas during nights and all of us stopped laughing and got the gravity of the situation! We were the only people in a wide street! Not even a single soul to be seen anywhere! No one spoke anything for five minutes. I made the attempt to break the awkward silence and asked everyone to hold hands, jus to not get lost. We started walking towards our cottage. As we were approaching our cottage, we saw a white fat figure bending down from a half opened cottage door of a cottage next to the lecturers. We all screamed in unison. Almost everyone from all the cottages came out including our lecturer. We were caught, at last! Then we found out that it was one of our classmates with a white blanket around him. He came out to take the extra pillow that was left at the entrance. Even today we have a good laugh recalling the incident!
