Hyderabad: The Board of Intermediate Education(BIE) has warned the college managements that non-compliance of the lab requirements will be viewed seriously and the managements have to forfeit their corpus fund and face disaffliation without any further notice, if they fail to provide well equipped laboratories.

    The BIE, Secretary, A.Vani Prasad, said that the Board is seriously concerned about the utility value of laboratories and asked colleges to conduct practicals as scheduled.

The managements of college have to update the Board on the arrangements made by August 31 and send a compliance report before September 15, 2011 failing which they will be liable for stringent action of disaffliation, she said.Practicals should be conducted as scheduled in the respective year and should not be postponed to second year under any circumstances.

    She said it has come to the notice of the Board that the laboratories in most of the colleges are ill-equipped."The laboratories have to meet the required standards as per the lab manuals. sufficient time was already given and written notices were issued in December 2010. All managements were forewarned and given ample time to make their laboratories fully functioanl. Hence no excuses will be justifiable" she said.
