The higher education department has clarified that the fee reimbursement scheme is not scrapped and students can apply for it this year. The clarification was issued as the Eamcet counselling notification has no mention of the scheme leading to confusion among the beneficiaries of the scheme. Damodar Rajanarasimha, minister for higher education has issued a statement clarifying that the scheme would continue and all eligible will get the fee reimbursement. APSCHE also issued a statement echoing the similar message. The certificate verification for Eamcet (engineering) will continue till August 3. Students will be allowed opt for colleges through web counseling starting July 31.
