The attendance for the Group I Mains examination being conducted by the A.P. Public Service Commision slipped to an average of 53.06 per cent across the seven centres in the twin cities on Monday, from the 69.45 per cent that was recorded on Sunday.
Break-up number
An official press release gave the centre-wise numbers break-up as follows: Sir Newton Degree College, Malakpet (292 present out of a total of 500 candidates), Geetanjali Degree College, Punjagutta (179 out of 300), Geetanjali PG College, Somajiguda (251/400), Indira Priyadarshini College, Nampally (403/800), Sardar Patel College, Padmarao Nagar (315/500), Govt. Junior College for Boys, Bazarghat (224/400) and Anwar-Ul-Uloom Degree College, New Mallepally (252/711).
It may be recalled that on Sunday, the State-wide attendance went up by 20 per cent, compared to the last Group I Mains examinations, held in the year 2007.
Examinations are scheduled to be held across 35 centres in the State on September 27, 28 and October 1 and 3.
