Hyderabad:The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced more Group I posts. The commission on Tuesday increased the number of vacancies under the Group I category to 304 as against 263 it had announced on Monday.
   According to APPSC officials, the new posts have been added as the state finance department has announced about 30 vacancies. Group I Preliminary exams will be held on May 27, 2012, and the Mains on October 3, 2012.
   APPSC officials have also decided that departmental exams for government officials will be objective in nature rather than descriptive that has been in vogue till now.
   At a press meet held in the city on Tuesday, Poonam Malakondaiah, secretary, APPSC, said that the commission has not finalised the dates for Group II examination. However, 1,900 posts are vacant under the Group II category and 1,000 posts under Group III, APPSC officials said. The dates for the examinations will be announced only in the coming year, officials said.
