Hyderabad: The government has removed the element of assigning weightage marks for educational qualification and experience as also interivew from the process to recruit village revenue officers(VRO) and village revenue assistants(VRA)

It has also announced a fresh recruitment schedule under which candidates will be selected urely on basis of performance in written test. As many as 7,235 posts,1,172 of them of VROs, are being filled through the recruitment.

The proposal to give weightage marks and conduct interview has been dropped following apprehensions expressed that these might bt used by fooicials to favour some candidates. The schedule was finalised afresh by the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
