Giving relief to the final year Intermediate students who either failed or scored low marks, the government has shifted the dates of advanced Intermediate supplementary examination to May 16. This is expected to facilitate students to appear for various engineering entrance examinations of reputed institutions, Minister for Secondary Education Minister K. Parthasarathy said here on Thursday.
A special opportunity is also being given to the Inter II students to appear for improvement in any subject. So far, Inter I year students were given this option of improvement in any one or more subjects. As per the norms, Inter II students had to appear for all the subjects if they wished to improve their marks. This is being given as a one-time relaxation but it will not be applicable to practical exams and vocational courses. The Board of Intermediate Education has released the revised examination time table, from May 16 to 25 and ensured that Physics examination is conducted first.
