The Group-I preliminary examination conducted by the AP Public Service Commission on Sunday went off peacefully across the state. The attendance percentage was 72.50. However, out of the 3.03 lakh candidates who applied, only 2.40 lakh downloaded the hall tickets. Of them, 1,73,265 took the exam. However, the power cuts and lack of minimum facilities troubled candidates at several centres though there were no errors in the question papers, as was the case in all the exams conducted by APPSC recently. The results will be announced in the last week of June. Candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:50 for the Mains exam, to be held from September 3.
