In the backdrop of a row over the Centre’s proposal to conduct a single nationwide entrance test, the Directors of the IITs will meet here on Saturday to chalk out a plan, amid indications that some other institutions could follow Delhi and Kanpur in rejecting it. The meeting of the IIT Joint Admission Board, comprising the Directors of these institutions, is taking place ahead of the June 27 meeting convened by the government of the IIT Council, the highest decision-making body headed by HRD Minister Kapil Sibal and including Directors of all 16 IITs.
