Osmania University students will no longer face accommodation problems, as the varsity officials have proposed to construct new hostel buildings for under graduates, post graduates as well as research scholars. According to T.
Satyanarayana, the ViceChancellor of OU, two new hostel buildings will be constructed exclusively for male art students, and a separate hostel will be build for women research scholars who are currently sharing rooms with post graduate students. The construction work is said to begin in September.
Professor Neeraja, chief warden, OU girls' hostel, said, “The research scholars' hostel will consist of 122 rooms and it will provide all civic amenities to the scholars.“ Mr Chinappa, the chief warden, OU boys' hostel, said, “The two new buildings will solve the space problem.“
