The IIIT Hyderabad and OpenSourceGeo-India are organising the first national conference on ‘Free and Open Source Geospatial Technology’ (FOSS4G-India 2012) at IIIT-H on October 25 and 26 followed by seven parallel hands-on workshops on October 27.
The conference will bring together over 130 academicians, researchers, technologists, companies and entrepreneurs to share and collaborate towards faster adoption and use of geospatial tools across India.
“It will also bring new and applied technologies for the use of Geospatial technology in a range of fields – from agriculture, forestry to sustainable use of resources; from disaster management to urban planning; from location-based services on web and mobile platforms to many e-governance initiatives,” said K.S.
