Andhra Pradesh B.Ed Colleges’ Managements Association has urged the State government to take necessary steps to save the B. Ed colleges in the state. Association president B. Timmayya and others urged Secondary Education Minister K. Parthasarathy to initiate study into the conditions of the B.Ed graduates. The state government’s decision was confining the B.Ed graduates to school assistant posts. Their qualifications were good enough to teach 6thand 7th standard students, they said, and urged him to respond positively to the matter.
