The Centre for Earth and Space Sciences, University of Hyderabad, will be launching a five-year Integrated M.Sc course in Earth Sciences in the coming academic year.

HCU Vice-Chancellor Ramakrishna Ramaswamy said, “This course offers an opportunity to study various aspects of the earth system -solid earth, ocean and atmosphere, geological and geophysical exploration, environment and climate change, water resources etc. This is the only fiveyear integrated course in India that emphasizes on geology and geophysics.“

The students will be trained in mathematics, physics, and chemistry in the first two years, and core subjects of the earth system sciences in the next three years. They will also receive practical training on the geological and geophysical exploration techniques.

Last date for applying online is January 21, 2013.
