Nearly 70 candidates from the state have qualified in the Civil Services Main Exam-2012 conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The Mains results were announced on Friday. A total of 2,187 candidates have qualified in the Mains across the country. Selected candidates have to face personal interviews scheduled from March 4.
The final selection list will be released by UPSC after taking the marks secured by candidates in personal interviews into consideration. “Earlier, candidates were given over two weeks’ time to attend personal interviews. This year, the UPSC reduced the number of days between Mains results and personal interviews,” said Mr Gopalakrishna, director, Brain Tree IAS Academy. Interestingly, the UPSC has failed to release the notification for civil services exam-2013 so far though it was scheduled to be issued on February 2.
