Ryali Gayathri from Telangana has emerged on the top among girls, securing the 11th rank, while M. Prashant Reddy and Talluri Sai Teja secured fithy and sixth rank from the two Telugu States in the JEE Main ranks released on Thursday.
Deepanshu Jindal from New Delhi secured the first rank, followed by Pratyush Maini and Rajesh Bansal, who secured second and third rank respectively. Among the top 1,000 ranks, 853 were boys and the remaining were girls. The ranks will be used for admission into B.Tech courses offered in NITs and IIITs, and also government-funded technical institutions.
While the CBSE students secured 12 of the top 20 ranks, six ranks were secured by students of Telangana followed by Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Just above 11 lakh students had appeared for the exam.
Narayana Sri Chaitanya IIT Academy students bagged several top ranks, including the fifth and sixth rank, in the B.Tech category, while taking top ranks in the B.Arch category.
A statement from the academy said that their students captured top 10 ranks in the open category in B.Tech and B.Arch streams of the JEE Main. The academy captured a lion’s share in the all-India ranks, said academy directors B.S. Rao, P. Sindhura Narayana, Sushma, and Nishith Narayana.
