Education Minister Kadiam Srihari announced that TS Eamcet-2016 admissions counselling will commence on July 5.

Addressing a media conference here on Wednesday, Mr. Srihari said the Higher Education Department had completed the inspection of all engineering and other colleges offering professional courses and the affiliation process would be over in two or three days. The total number of engineering seats available would be known once the affiliation process was completed, he said.

The first phase of counselling would be held from July 5 to July 10 and candidates could change their options on July 10 and 11. Seat allotments would be made on July 14 and payment of fee through challan should be made on July 21.

In the final phase, certificate verification would take place from July 24 to 25 and allotment on July 27. Classes would commence on July 29.

Mr. Srihari said by July-end, all universities would have Vice-Chancellors and Executive Councils in place. The government proposed online admission in universities and semester system from this academic year, he said.
