The five-year wait for the Group-I examination controversy has finally ended with the Supreme Court asking the AP Public Service Commission (APPSC) and the TS Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to conduct the examination again as per the 2011 notification and with the old syllabus.
The examination landed in the courts after some candidates raised objection to six “ambiguous questions and answers” in the preliminary examination. By then the Mains were already conducted apart from the interview process. The notification was issued in 2011 for recruitment of 314 Group-I posts. While the issue dragged in the courts for sometime the State got bifurcated further compounding the problems for the re-conduct of the examination.
