Three tribal students, who had undergone special coaching under the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Utnoor ‘Star 30’ programme, secured seats in the Indian Institute of Technology and several other top engineering colleges in the State through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

While B. Onkareshwar got a seat in IIT-Hyderabad, B. Vinay secured a seat in IIT Gandhinagar and A. Mamatha got a seat in National Institute of Techonlogy (NIT) Durgapur.

Congratulating the candidates, ITDA project officer R.V. Karnan said six students secured seats in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) Hyderabad, and 10 others got admitted to other engineering colleges in the State.

He handed over a reward of Rs. 20,000 to the three toppers, and said the Star 30 programme will be conducted next year as well.
