CHENNAI: Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi, IAS, assumed charge as the chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday.
Sharing the vision and role of CBSE in school education, Chaturvedi emphasised on the need for improving quality of education in schools across the country with ample focus on teacher quality.
An official statement from the board said one of the foremost priorities of the new chairman is to make the CBSE a "modern and multidimensional front ranking organisation."
