A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Shameem Akther on Tuesday directed Chief Secretaries of both AP and Telangana to file additional affidavits explaining the steps being taken to curb mass copying in SSC and Intermediate public examinations in future, especially this March.
The bench was dealing with the PIL filed by Dr. Srinivas Guntupalli of Eluru. The court had on an earlier occasion asked the governments to make their stand clear. The governments said they had taken action when copying was noticed in examinations conducted in 2016. They gave a list of cases registered etc. The bench wanted specific details of how they would curb it this academic year. The case was adjourned by three weeks.
