Hyderabad: The Telangana state and the Central governments will work in tandem to promote students’ interaction with rural communities so that people in villages are better prepared in emergencies like drought and floods.
This was decided at a workshop conducted jointly by the National Council of Rural Institutes, Government of India and the Telangana State Council for Higher Education on Wednesday. Council chairman N. Papi Reddy said he will take steps to include this subject in the course curriculum in all the 10 state universities including Osmania and Kakatiya. The subject is likely to be introduced at the graduate or postgraduate level in from the coming academic year.
