ANANTAPUR: Students of the chemistry department in Government College here organised an exhibition on chemistry related to items used in daily life. Chairman of Board of Studies in Chemistry, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, V. Suryanarayana Rao inaugurated the exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion, he said such activities would improve awareness, infuse enthusiasm and inspire students. About 10 exhibits including food items, water, paper, medicines, construction material, fuels, polymers, textiles and cosmetics were on display at the exhibition. Convenor of the exhibition R. Ramachandra Murthy said the exhibition was aimed at teaching the students on how to collect comprehensive information about a chosen subject with the help of Internet, how to display it interestingly, how to share the knowledge with fellow students and how to clarify doubts of others on the subject.
Principal B. Muralidhar Rao said exhibitions are more useful to students than seminars. General public also can watch the exhibition till 4 p.m. on August 31.
