VISAKHAPATNAM: Five students of B.Ed. course (2008-09) of Andhra University received Pratibha awards given by the State government.
Andhra University Vice-Chancellor B. Satyanarayana handed over the cash award of Rs.10,000 each to S.S.Prasanth Kumar (physical science), R. Srinivas (biological sciences), G. Kalyani (mathematics), K. Sharada and Megha Shaina (both special English).
Registrar P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy, Principal of AISE and others were present.
Railway employee feted
Chief Commercial Inspector in Waltair Railway Division A. Subba Rao has been awarded the ‘Railway Board Level’ during ‘Railway Week Celebrations-2009’ function held in Kolkata. The award, presented by Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee was given for his outstanding performance. It consists of a medal, commendation certificate and a cheque for Rs.7,000.
