Officials of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies have not yet released the list of 6,000 students to be admitted into the IIITs at Idupulapaya, Nuzividu and Basar.  The officials even failed to meet the deadlines thrice, the last of which was on August 29. RGUKT officials have blamed the department of school education for the delay saying that it had given "faulty"data' of students which resulted in erroneous selections.

The IIITs, which began operation last year, had started classes for the first batch of students in August after concluding the admission process in July.
