HYDERABAD: The Indian School of Business (ISB) on Friday announced the setting up of a Centre for Case Development on its campus here in partnership with the Richard Ivey School of Business of (Ivey), University of Western Ontario, Canada. ISB Dean Ajit Rangnekar and his Ivey counterpart Carol Stephenson signed a memorandum of understanding on the occasion. The latter said Ivey had 6,000 cases world over.
The centre would train faculty and research scholars from business schools, including ISB, to write and teach interview-based case studies about Indian market. It would be a comprehensive process of case development right from generating ideas to publishing case studies globally, Mr. Rangnekar told a news conference on Friday.
Ivey, the second largest producer of business case studies after Harvard, would provide technical support to the centre in ensuring that the latter’s case studies comprised indigenous learning and global methodologies.
Mr. Rangnekar said the centre aimed to train 350 case-writing faculty and research scholars in India by the next academic year.
