HYDERABAD: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs. 372 crore for providing infrastructure facilities in 38 social welfare residential educational institutions in the State. Minister for Social Welfare and Chairman of AP Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society P. Subash Chandra Bose said in a press release on Thursday that NABARD would give Rs. 312 crore as loan and the remaining amount would be the State’s share. Each school would be developed with a cost of Rs. 9.78 cr. By constructing school building, dormitory, kitchen and dining hall, principal’s quarters, clinic-cum nurse quarters, two quarters each for class four staff etc.
The schools are in Medak (5), Krishna (4), East Godavari and Kurnool (3 each), Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, Guntur, Kadapa, Anantapur, Adilabad and Ranga Reddy (2 each), Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Prakasam, Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar and Nizamabad (one each).
