VISAKHAPATNAM: The Right to Information Act must be implemented in full measure, said Commissioner of Information Ambati Subba Rao during his visit to the AP University of Law here on Friday.
Vice-Chancellor Y. Satyanarayana informed the Commissioner that no petitions were pending in the university. Chancellor Y. Lakshminath, Registrar A. Subrahmanyam, Member of AP Bar Council Devanand and others participated.
Andhra University Registrar P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy called on Mr. Subba Rao at Law University and explained about the way the petitions received under the RTI Act were being disposed of.
Another Commissioner R. Dilip Reddy would visit Anakapalle on December 30 and participate in the public information campaign being organised there. He would be at the Circuit House in Visakhapatnam on December 1 and inaugurate an orientation course at the AU Academic Staff College on December 2.
On December 5, the Commissioner would speak on RTI Act and student’s role at the Sri Gowri Degree College, Kancharapalem and later participate in a meeting on implementation of the RTI Act at AMC.
