After putting in months of hard work, CAT aspirants are finally ready to face the D-day starting today. Remember it is your Quant, DI and Verbal skills that will be responsible for you getting a call and nothing else matters. Sai Kumar, CAT course director at T.I.M.E., gives you a few last minute CAT tips that could help you sail through.
Do not try to study anything new. Instead focus on revising concepts and chapters you already know. Revise questions from the previous mocks. Most of you would have written a large number of mocks. Go through the questions which you got wrong.
Assess your strengths and weaknesses. On the D-day, look out for questions from your areas of strengths, giving lower priority to questions you aren't confident of.
Do not believe in rumours. Rumour mills work over time when it comes to stories about the pattern of the paper, the scheme of evaluation, the predicted cut-offs, etc. This year, since CAT is conducted over a period of 10 days, there will be more stories doing the round.
Don't over work yourself. CAT tests the ability of students to perform under pressure. Be relaxed during the exam. Ensure that you get enough sleep before your exam. On the day of the exam reach your venue half-anhour early. Carry your hall ticket, bank voucher and a proof of your identity. Avoid talking to people at the venue and prepare yourself for the life-defining 2 hours, 15 minutes.
