Intermediate students suffering with frequent bandhs and academics getting disturbed have a solution. They can learn the subjects through a virtual classroom sitting at home.
With each concept of every chapter explained in audio and video format supported by animations, one cannot miss the class despite these disturbances. A portal dedicated to Intermediate education, ‘www.leacenter.com', has put over 4,500 plus audio-visual explanation of fundamental concepts and examples covering IPE topics in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with simple to understand animations and tips.
Virtual laboratories
Ram Kadiyala, CEO of the company, says virtual laboratories have been created where students can watch animated videos of conducting experiments. “We show a student how to perform an experiment including instruments required, precautions to be taken while performing the experiment, how to record and tabulate the results, probable viva questions etc. Best part is that they can review many times so that it will register in there mind how to perform a particular experiment,” says Mr. Ram.
The advantage is that the videos can be repeated by the students number of times till they get clarity. “It is like a teacher coming to your home and explaining the concepts,” says Mr. Ram, who ventured into this model leaving a comfortable career in the US. Explanations are also available in e-book format.
The portal also contains multiple online mock test interfaces so that the student can get familiarised with online examination process and time management. Instant similar practice questions are also available where solutions are reviewed for incorrectly answered questions. The inputs and the facilities would be of immense help for candidates preparing for Intermediate examinations as well as tests like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, BIT-SAT, and EAMCET.
Bridging gaps
Apart from reaching out to students who are academically lagging behind, the portal will also bridges the gap in the learning process of weak and intelligent students. Mr. Ram says the second package is available at Rs. 3,000 while the two-year package is available at Rs. 4,999 including laboratories and 12 mock tests. He says several colleges have already registered and are using the facility for their students in the libraries and during examinations. “Even the government has evinced keen interest in the software to use it in the rural areas,” he says.
