VISAKHAPATNAM: International Conference on Nanotechnology and Biosensors (ICNB-2010) will begin at Raghu Engineering College in Dakammari, near here on Wednesday.
Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari will inaugurate the two-day conference. This will be followed by her address to the media at the venue.
The aim of the conference is to bring out collaborative programmes in nanotechnology and biosensors, which will become useful to society as a whole. According to the organisers, the response to the conference is overwhelming, with the total number of papers received put at 146. Of them, 56 papers have been selected for oral presentation and rest are included in the poster session.
Some 180 delegates, including six from foreign countries, will attend the conference. The invited talks will be delivered by Suash Deb from CV Raman College of Engineering-Bhubaneswar, Tarasankar Pal from IIT Kharagpur and Nandyala Sooraj from University of Porto, Portugal.
