HYDERABAD: Secondary Education Minister D. Manikya Varaprasada Rao announced in the Assembly on Monday that Class X examinations would be re-conducted, if necessary, for the students who could not reach their examination-halls due to the communal disturbances in the old city of Hyderabad.

The Minister told the agitated Opposition members that the State government would get field-level report and assess the actual number of students affected, before taking decision for re-conduct of the examinations for them.
