VIJAYAWADA: Taking into consideration the huge opportunities available, Triveni Degree College has tied up with Orion Calltech Institute to impart a diploma course in business process outsourcing (BPO) management for the benefit of students.

It will be offered to the students alongside their three-year regular degree classes on the campus.

This kind of a long course on BPOs spread over three years is introduced to meet the comprehensive needs of students who are not well versed with the communication and soft skills.

Promising career

The organisers say that a complete skill set will be given in the areas of English language, computer networking, finance and accountant and other relevant subjects.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, college director M.V. Rao and Orion Calltech regional director Ch. Siva Shankar said that the BPO sector would throw increasing opportunities in the future, independent of the impact of economic crisis. They said that as a career option right from the college days, the BPO sector would be excellent and promising for the young generation. Mr. Shiva Shankar said that their company had been entering into Memoranda of Understanding with many colleges to impart this job-oriented training and they were confident of showing excellent results as regards the placements. He said that their company had got tie-ups with as many as 180 BPO companies in the country to find good placements for the students.
