Hyderabad: AP students are expected to bag 25 per cent of the total 28,000 seats in National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other centrally-funded technical institutions.
In B.Arch, Narayana students Mr Sabareesh Nikhil got first rank, Mr A. Jithendar Reddy got 2nd rank, Mr T. Meghashyam got 5th rank, Mr B. Bhargava got 6th rank and Mr B. Sai Krishna got 7th rank.
Mr Abhinay Swaroop from Sri Chaitanya got the all-India second rank in the SC category. Mr G. Sandeep and Mr Nikhil Chandra from Chaitanya got 5th rank, Mr V. Rajesh got 7th rank, Mr L.Varun got 8th rank, Mr Sandeep Kumar got 10th rank and Mr K. Bhavana got 11th rank.
“It’s the first time in the history of the IIT-JEE and AIEEE that students from a single institute secured ranks in the top 10. Our focused training programmes since class X helped students to achieve such inspiring results,” said Dr Narayana, chairman of the Narayana Group.
Chairman of the Sri Chaitanya Group, Dr B.S. Rao, said as many as 113 students from his institution secured top ranks in all categories.He said the ‘neon’ programme launched by the institute enabled students to achieve top ranks.
The online counselling for admissions will be held from June 8. About 6,399 seats will be offered by the NITs, 1,528 seats in centrally-funded technical institutes and 7,326 seats in state-funded institutions will be filled in the counselling. Nearly 28,000 seats will be filled during the counselling.
