VISAKHAPATNAM: Students of various corporate colleges performed well in the AIEEE-2010, the results of which were announced on Sunday. D. Sai Nishanth of Ascent Classes notched up all-India 5th rank in the general category and 5th rank in the State.

According to a press release, students of Ascent Classes secured a total of 63 seat-getting ranks in all categories. Managing director Umadhar Patnaik congratulated Sai Nishanth and other candidates on their brilliant achievement.

Students of Vizag Vikas secured several ranks below 100, according to joint managing director M. Prasanna and executive director V.N.N. Murty. Sachin Kumar achieved 5th rank in the SC category and Kangaon Boro 8 {+t} {+h} rank in the ST category.

Its students, both in-classroom and contact programme, also got 35 ranks below 100 in various categories. A total of 1,165 candidates qualified, a press release said.
