HYDERABAD : The Telangana Rashtra Samiti on Monday threatened to disrupt the Group-I preliminary examination scheduled on September 5, if the government did not heed to its request for the postponement of the exam.
A delegation of senior TRS leaders led by the party floor leader, Mr E. Rajender, and the former minister, Mr N. Narasimha Reddy, met the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, and demanded that the exam be postponed.
They reasoned that thousands of students could not focus on preparation as they were agitating for the greater cause of separate Telangana.
Meanwhile, the TRS president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, warned that Telangana region will "burn" if students are arrested on false and concocted charges.
He said it was unfortunate that neither the government, the Governor nor the Seema-Andhra condemned the Seema Andhra lecturers when they gave thousands of Telangana students less marks, even zero in some cases, in the Intermediate exams.
