KARIMNAGAR: In order to attract the student community and various private educational institutions to the university, the Satavahana University has announced implementation of 40 per cent internal marks to all the MCA students from this academic year.
A decision to this effect was taken at the Computer Science Board of Studies (BoS) meeting held under the chairmanship of JNTU professor A. Vinay Babu and attended by JNTU-Kondagattu principal A. Govardhan and other faculty members of the university here on Tuesday.
It may be recalled that several private educational institutions from the district sought affiliation from JNTU-Hyderabad instead of Satavahana University as JNTU was offering 40 per cent internal marks to students. On the lines of JNTU, the BoS had made drastic changes in the syllabi and marks pattern in Computer Science courses from this current academic year. Earlier, Satavahana University was offering only 20 per cent internal marks and the rest 80 per cent theory marks .
