Hyderabad: A large number of seats in pharmacy colleges are likely to be vacant this year. Only 9,360 candidates attended their certificate verification of the 12,779 seats available, which means nearly 30,00 seats will definitely go vacant. An additional 11,000 seats will be added to this pool after they were not opted for by the MPC stream students. Only 1,700 candidates from the MPC stream took admission in pharmacy colleges. Of all the available seats in pharmacy colleges, 50 per cent each are earmarked for BPC and MPC stream students.
