NELLORE: Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Vice-Chancellor C.R. Visweswara Rao has appealed to the institution managements to take steps for conducting the examinations strictly.
Speaking at a meeting with the principals/correspondents of MBA, MCA, PG, B.Ed. and Law College under VSU limits in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district on Wednesday, the V-C discussed about syllabus pattern, payment of affiliation fee, constitution of Board of Studies, prevention of ragging and other issues.
Stating that conduct of examinations is an important aspect in every institution, Mr. Rao asked the managements to be strict in organising examinations.
He asked the managements not to give any scope for criticism in conducting examinations.
When the college managements urged the Vice-Chancellor to extend the date of payment of affiliation fee, Mr. Visweswara Rao said the managements can pay the fee by November 15, 2010.
Registrar V. Narayana Reddy said all the institutions should send the particulars of teaching and non-teaching staff, open websites with all details and provide information. The college managements should appoint necessary clerical and other non-teaching staff for conducting the examinations smoothly, he said.
Mr. Reddy asked the principals and correspondents of the institutions to constitute anti-ragging committees, arrange vigil at bus stops and hostels to prevent ragging and eve-teasing.
