NELLORE: An MSc (Organic Chemistry) student of Aditya PG College in the city, S. Chaitanya, bagged gold medal in Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati, for scoring highest marks. Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan presented the medal at the SVU convocation function held on Wednesday.

A native of Yerragudipadu village, Kamalapuram mandal in Kadapa district, Chaitanya stood top in the university in all the 46 PG colleges under the university limits. This is the first time that a student from out of the university campus achieved gold medal in MSc after SVU introduced the course, said Aditya College correspondent Acharya Aditya.

College principal P. Sudhakar Reddy, director Krishna Reddy and other staff congratulated the student for achieving the medal.
