HYDERABAD : While D.Ed candidates will get 30 per cent quota in SGT posts, the remaining 70 per cent jobs would be open for both B.Ed and D.Ed candidates.
After nearly two years the state government on Friday finally announced the schedule for appointment of 30,830 secondary grade teachers (SGT) selected under the DSC recruitment exam.
The notification for the exam had been issued in December 2008. The appointment letters will be issued to 500 SGTs every day from November 3.
The government has also decided to fill 1,140 vacancies of school assistants simultaneously. The process of issuing appointment letters will be completed within ten days.
While D.Ed candidates will get 30 per cent quota in SGT posts, the remaining 70 per cent jobs would be open for both B.Ed and D.Ed candidates.
Initially, 26,700 SGT vacancies will be filled and the rest would be filled as and when the vacancies arise.
As per the schedule, the general merit list at district-level will be displayed on October 30. The provisional selection list will be prepared on October 30 and 31 and it will be out on November 1.
Selected candidates will be called for verification of certificates at district-level on November 2. The counselling and issuing of appointment letters at district-level for school assistants, language pandits and PETs will be held on November 2. The counselling and appointment letters for SGTs will be held from November 3.
According to the secondary education minister, Mr D.M.V.Prasada Rao, no teachers’ post will remain vacant in schools.
