Anantapur: The Arts College principal Major Dr. B. Muralidhara Rao has been presented the ‘Jewel of India Award' by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi and ‘Rashtriya Vidhya Gaurav' gold medal award given by International Institute of Education and management for his outstanding achievements and remarkable role in the field of education.

The awards were given away by G.V.G. Krsihnamurthy, former Chief Election Commissioner of India and K. Samuel Mbaboe, the Namibian Ambassador to India at a function organised at Krishna Meenan Bhavan, New Delhi on November 23.

Major Muralidhara Rao has done extraordinary service as NCC officer and yeomen service in the cause of promoting education.
