VIJAYAWADA: Any graduate with a diploma or PG diploma in health, safety and environment or fire safety will have a bright future on the job front. More companies are looking for qualified graduates and youngsters to train their staff and educate their personnel on fire and environment safety rules and regulations these days. L. Srinivas, city centre head of the NIFS (National Institute of Fire Management), says that these courses on safety have immense potential to create job opportunities for the youth and they should be made use of to the maximum extent. He says that there is a growing number of jobs not just in Dubai and abroad but also within India at different locations. According to Mr. Srinivas, their student Y. Sailendra got selected at Petron for working somewhere in Tamil Nadu at an initial offer of Rs. 10,000 per month during training and a good salary is promised once the student is absorbed into the company after one year. He says that they are offering these safety courses in technical collaboration with the Annamalai University and that they have got placement support as well.
