Coaching on a par with top institutions in Hyderabad promised
To begin with, coaching to be imparted to just 50 to 60 students
VIJAYAWADA: The Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education, which established many educational institutions of repute in the city, has now opened Siddhartha Study Circle to bring top class coaching facilities for civil services examination within the reach of local students and aspirants in the region.
A highly qualified faculty will be taking classes for these students.
Long-felt need
Siddhartha Academy president S.V. Vishnuvardhana Rao and secretary N. Venkateswarlu said at a press conference on Thursday that even though Vijayawada was always considered an educational hub, a gap was felt for long that the city did not have the facility for imparting quality coaching for UPSC examinations.
The Siddhartha Study Centre was established with the objective of providing coaching on a par with top institutes in Hyderabad.
Mr. Venkateswarlu said serious students with a strong desire to work hard and for long hours would be selected from among the applicants for the civil services coaching centre and all the needed facilities like internet would be provided to them.
In addition, library services would be made available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and two well-equipped halls had already been identified on the premises of P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science. To begin with, coaching would be offered for a batch of just 50 to 60 students. Rajesh C. Jampala, director, MBA programme, P.B. Siddhartha College, would be the in-charge director of the study circle, while Devineni Madhusudhana Rao of Tenneru would be the overall in-charge.
Stating that civil services examination had always been the country's top most competitive examination for the students, Mr. Venkateswarlu said that students who undergo this coaching would stand to gain a lot over others so as to appear for other examinations conducted at national and State levels.
Expert guidance
He said that the services of retired IAS officer K. Padmanabhaiah were being taken in establishing the centre while Hyderabad Study Circle former director Koti Reddy would extend his services in guiding the Siddhartha Study Circle in the first six months.
