RAJAHMUNDRY: G.S. Moses, Principal of Government Arts College, was selected for National Chemistry Best Teacher Award-2011 by the Chemical Research Society of India. The prestigious award will be given to Mr. Moses on February 5 in Bhubaneswar, Orissa during a special function organised in connection with celebrations of International Year of Chemistry-2011.
Mr. Moses was selected for his services towards the chemical society in last 25 years as a reader in chemistry mostly in Government College, Rajahmundry. Twenty-nine lecturers and readers have been selected all over the country for this award. Mr. Moses was earlier bestowed with State Best Teacher Award.
He guided two scholars, six M.Phil students for their doctorate in chemistry and published research papers in various national and international journals. He has attended 33 national conferences and published 53 articles on environment pollution.
Talent test
Sri Gowthami Maths Talent Test, second in the series, will be held on February 6. The test will be conducted for the students studying 5th to 10th classes in all schools in Rajahmundry and surrounding places.
In each test, first, second and third and five consolation prizes will be given to the students.
