Chittoor: Joint Collector Pradhyumna has instructed Education Department officers to provide desks to students for writing SSC examination without making them to sit on floor. A meeting of the officers concerned was held here on Friday. He asked the officers to procure desks from nearby high schools.

The Joint Collector also asked Transco officials to provide uninterrupted power during the examination hours and RTC officials to run buses for students writing the examination.

District Education Officer Samuel said that all arrangements had been made for the public examination to be held from March 24 to April 9. Hesaid that 57,808 would be appearing for the examination of which 51,035 were regular students and 6,773 private candidates.
