Hyderabad: Students from the state will soon be given an opportunity to get themselves trained in corporate skill sets even after they get a job. A new education initiative, TMI e2E Academy Pvt. Ltd., which was launched in the city on Saturday, will find jobs for young graduates and later train them for the required skill sets.
The students will be paid back the sum they spent on the training by the company 18 months after the completion of the course. The academy was launched as a joint venture between TMI and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). It is expected to have branches across the country.
The academy is planning to hire 17,400 young graduates in the first academic year. In the second year, the number will be increased to 23,765 students. T Muralidharan, managing director of TMI e2E Academy stated that within 10 years, the intake of students is expected to rise to 88,755 across the country.
The academy is expected to place students in telecom, retail, banking, financial services, insurance, automobile, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, ITES, IT, Agri-inputs, logistics, hospitality and airport management sectors. The academies will be launched across the country in existing TMI offices, officials stated. It will concentrate on students from 374 backward districts across the state identified by the ministry of human resources.
Speaking at the launch function of the academy, D Purandeswari, minister for state for human resource development stated that the youth in the country and especially, Andhra Pradesh will benefit from the initiative.
