Gold medal awarded to Susmitha Yella as the best outgoing student of B.Tech (Civil)

HYDERABAD: Great opportunities beckon India and the younger generation should not let by any opportunities to dream big and challenge the impossible, National Research Professor and Lilly-Jubilant Chair Professor, Goverdhan Mehta, said here on Thursday.
In his address at the second convocation of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), Prof. Mehta urged the youth not to forget the core values while traversing on the road to success. Emerging India represented a canvas of many opportunities, he remarked, while underscoring the need for team work, collaborative, and interdisciplinary efforts to face the emerging challenges.
Prof. Mehta outlined the complexities and diversities that marked the country and made it a melting pot of contrasts and cultures.
“I expect you to excel in future endeavours and serve humanity and the country,” he told the students of JNTUH.
At the convocation held at Shilpakalavedika auditorium, Prof. Mehta received the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in recognition of his achievements and contributions in the field of sciences. A total of 30 gold medals were awarded, including a gold medal to Susmitha Yella as the best outgoing student of B.Tech Civil Engineering, K.Phani Tejaswi and Vinay Kumar Chapala as best outgoing students of B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering.
On the occasion, successful candidates were also conferred the Degrees of Ph.D., M.Tech, M.Pharm, M.B.A., M.S.I.T., M.Sc, M.C.A., Post Graduate Diploma, and other MoU courses.
The other candidates who received the degrees included M.S., M.Phil. B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.F.A., B.Arch, and B.Plan.
Vice-Chancellor D.N. Reddy, Rector and Director of Evaluation, M. Chandrasekhar, other faculty members, and staff of JNTUH were also present.
