HYDERABAD : The state government will install biometric devices at counselling centres to record fingerprints of students eligible for fee reimbursement scheme and scholarships during admissions counselling for courses. The devices will be installed at over 50 centres in all district headquarters where counselling for Eamcet, Icet, Edcet, Lawcet etc.will be conducted.

The data will be stored in a server which will be monitored by the welfare departments of backward classes, economically backward classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, minorities and physically challenged to ensure that there will no duplication of the beneficiaries later.

Students who take admissions without attending counselling even in the convener quota will not be considered for the scheme.
